Los Robles Master Chorale to Hold Auditions
Auditions for new singers for the 2012-2013 concert season, by appointment only, will take place in June. All voice parts are welcome, with a particular need for tenors, baritones, and basses. Singers must be 17 years or older and have previous choral experience and some music reading ability. (Further information...)
êkō Releases its First CD
êkō, Los Robles Master Chorale's chamber choir, has released its first CD. The album features live recordings from the group's first three years. Nine of the tracks are world premiere performances, including a bonus track of the full chorale singing Christina Whitten Thomas's "My Cathedral."
The CD is available for purchase for $15 and can be ordered from our online store. It will also be on sale at LRMC performances.
Summer Scratch Choir Returns!
Once again, Los Robles Master Chorale invites members of the community who love to sing to take part in a summer "scratch" choir. The day-long event, led by the chorale's artistic director, Lesley Leighton, takes place June 23 in Oak Park. (Further details...)
Save the Dates for 2012-2013!
LRMC's 35th Season
Los Robles Master Chorale has announced the concert dates for its exciting 35th Season. êkō, LRMC's chamber ensemble, will launch the 2012-13 season on November 18. The full chorale will present two different programs of seasonal music - Holiday Treasures, its annual family-oriented concert, on December 2, and Holiday Presence, on December 15. In spring 2013, LRMC will join with Los Robles Children's choir for Messengers of Spring, and êkō returns with another concert on March 17. The milestone season will close with Enduring Spirits on May 4. Stay tuned for further announcements about concert repertoire!
