Consort Singers in concert

About Los Robles Master Chorale
Consort Singers

Consort Singers is an intimate vocal ensemble under the direction of Lesley Leighton. The 26-voice group, drawn from the membership of Los Robles Master Chorale, performs a wide range of repertoire from many centuries of choral music-from the earliest sacred traditions to challenging works by contemporary composers. In November 2010, Consort Singers gave the world premiere performance of John Rutter's "A Dedication," and in March 2011, the ensemble teamed with Los Robles Children's Choir for the world premiere performance of Lesley Leighton's Five Songs on the Texts of Hans Christian Anderson.

In addition to its own concerts and its performances with the full chorale, Consort Singers provides community and educational outreach. This season, members of the ensemble worked with select high school choral singers at LRMC's first High School Choral Leadership Workshop, and the group has helped expand the reach of the chorale's audience with concerts in Camarillo and Ventura.
